Fun at the Zoo

We went to the Denver Zoo with Grandma and Grandpa. It was so much fun, and of course they had to spoil Emery and get her some ice cream.

Thanks for a great day. It was a hot one, but fun.

Summer Vacation

We just returned from our annual trip to California. We visited my Dad in San Diego first and then headed up to Orange County to visit Brett's family. While in San Diego, Emery got to ride one of the oldest carousels. It went fast and she loved it.

For Father's Day, we went to the San Diego Zoo. Emery loved seeing the animals.

We had to visit Anaheim Stadium on our trip. This is Brett's sister. Thanks Vicci for everything.

We ended our trip at La Jolla Beach. We let Emery put her feet in and feel the waves hit her feet. Last year she didn't like it so much, this year she wanted to get in and swim.

Emery was just chilling reading a magazine. She is so much fun.

Grandma

Yes, Grandma painted Emery's toes. Grandma said Emery didn't like it too much as she cried the whole time, but Grandma was determined. I think Emery is a little too young for this, but her toes are SO CUTE.

I made a chocolate vanilla cheesecake for my good friend Anna's birthday. I wanted to make it visually pleasing so I had to make a yummy chocolate ganache topping. Go me! It looked great and tasted even better. Thanks Dad, for helping me over the phone get it just perfect!

Playing Hookey

Last week my sister was in town with her baby Alanna. This was my first time meeting Alanna and she is such a cute sweet baby. It was so good to spend time with my sister too. Here is a picture of Emery and I at lunch on Monday. Mom, Megan, Allana, Emery and I all went out to Southlands shopping center for the day. I took the day off, as you can see Emery is "sick." She needed to spend time with her Mommy.

Happy Birthday

My baby is growing up. Sunday, February 15th we celebrated Emery's 1st birthday. We had some friends over to join for the celebration.
Monday we went to the Dr. for her 1 year check up. She is 2'6 1/2" tall ( 90%) 22 lbs 3 oz. ( 70%) and measures a smaller head at 17.52" (33%) Just perfect if you ask me.

Cutest Baby contest

I know everyone thinks their baby is the cutest, so when Brett said he wanted to submit a picture to the Regis and Kelly's cutest baby contest I was a bit surprised. Not that I don't think she is adorable, just what are the chances. After looking at our most recent pictures, this is the one we submitted.

Great Grandparents

While in Utah, we went up to Logan to visit my grandparents.

Sorry we didn't get to see all the aunts, uncles and cousins like we usually do. We stopped by around noon on Sunday and knew you all have your busy schedules. We wanted to make it back to Alpine before dark. Happy Birthday Ashley!

Christmas in Utah

In bed with Grandma Gambill and cousins, Cole, Tate, Trey and Kade. We brought our tent and had the anual sleepover with our nephews.
